Caritas Coimbra will be present at Aging2.0 and Happy Aging European Summit

Caritas Diocesana de Coimbra will participate as a speaker at the European Summit presented by Aging2.0 e Happy Aging, in the Social Inclusion: Connecting People Through Technology panel. The event will take place on May 24 at the University of Hasselt, Belgium.

This is the first European Summit organized by Aging2.0, in partnership with Happy Aging. This partnership focuses on a group of interconnected innovators, aiming to share good practices in the context of active aging. They see the fast aging of Europe’s population, not as a shock to the system, but a unique opportunity for global growth. At the conference, participants will have the opportunity to share experiences and perspectives across Europe, focusing primarily on three challenges: dementia, social isolation and livable communities.

Flávia Rodrigues, Public Relations, working in the Innovation Department, will present perspectives on how technology can enhance the filling of gaps and connect people, combating isolation and loneliness, through projects developed by Cáritas de Coimbra, such as GrowMeUp . Some experts will also show how technology can be one of the biggest challenges in aging.
