Cáritas de Coimbra received students from Instituto Superior Miguel Torga

Cáritas Diocesana de Coimbra has been hosting internships in the Social Work course of Instituto Superior Miguel Torga, giving students the opportunity to get to know our Day Care Center, the Elderly Home and Home Care Services.

In this context, innovative projects were also disseminated, such as GrowMeUp and CaMeLi, which aroused interest and curiosity, in order to better understand their objectives and to witness a demonstration in the Day Care Center environment.

The ISMT students visited Cáritas de Coimbra and attended a demonstration of GrowMu, with a brief presentation of the project, demonstration of the functionalities, including navigation and a small interaction with the elderly.

Also the virtual assistant Glória, from the CaMeLi project, was presented to the youngsters, as well as their possibilities of use.

In addition to the visit to the other facilities of the senior centers of Rainga Santa Isabel Center, students had the opportunity to attend the senior gerontomotricity class taking place in the space of the Day Care Center.
